Preliminary announcement of various works 

Next year, various works will take place on your complex. In this preliminary announcement, we would like to briefly inform you about what the works entail and what they mean for you.

Boiler Replacement 
This year, your boiler will be replaced. This is a major job because, since 2023, the flue gas ducts must also be renewed when replacing a boiler. The flue gas ducts are concealed in a shaft, which we cannot easily access. Therefore, this shaft wall must be opened to carry out the work.

Why are we replacing your boiler? 
The boilers are over 16 years old. This can mean that your boiler becomes more prone to malfunctions, which we want to prevent. Additionally, the new boilers are more energy-efficient.

How long will these works take? 
To carry out these works, vertical work is required. This means that the work to replace the boiler will be carried out simultaneously in all vertically aligned apartments. We expect to need about 3 to 4 working days per vertical block to complete these works.

Inconvenience 
For a period of 3 to 4 days, there will be no hot water and heating available. If desired, electric heaters will be provided during a cold period for temporary use. During the work period, it is important for residents to be at home so that the technicians have access to your apartment. If this is not possible, it is possible to leave a spare key with the housing manager.

Schedule 
The works will start around June/July. The exact period will be communicated to you approximately 3 to 4 weeks in advance. Unfortunately, it is not possible to adjust the schedule.

Glass Replacement and Painting Works 
This year, we will also replace the glass in the large windows. Following this, the exterior painting will be carried out.

Why these works? 
There are regular problems with these windows. They stick, do not close properly, or cause leaks. We can solve this by installing new glass, readjusting the windows, and replacing the seals. To carry out the work, the windows and doors will need to be opened several times. For the glass replacement, the glaziers will need to come inside your apartment.

Schedule 
The works will start around May.
