It is wise to know what to do in case of fire. We list the main points for you:

• In the event of a small, incipient fire, use the fire extinguishers. These are available on all premises. Have you used the fire extinguisher? Then report this to your complex manager. He will make sure it is refilled.
• In the event of a major fire, immediately leave your room via the designated escape routes, call 112 immediately and warn housemates and neighbours.
• In case of fire, never use the lift!
• Make sure the fire cannot spread further by closing windows and doors and shutting off gas.

• Make sure corridors stay clear, stairwells are empty and common areas are tidy. Should a fire break out, you can leave the building without any obstacles.
